JULIETTE

 Allow us to introduce a beautiful Soul songstress from Birmingham, UK, Juliette.   Amartre Entertainment had the pleasure of marketing and promoting Juliette in 2012.  She definitely has an eclectic vibe of Erika Badu, Jill Scott, and many more…  Juliette is a very kind-hearted and soulful woman oozing music from the pores of her skin. 

Juliette began her career at the age of 19 being a singer for a rock band in Litchfield, UK.  Later in life, she moved to Birmingham, UK where she fell in love with soul and R&B music.  During her journey in her career she met a man named Godfrey Fletcher who is the CEO of Neo2Soul Promotions.  Godfrey later introduced Juliette to Herb Middleton, CEO of NuVybe Records.  After hearing her soulful and unique style, Herb Middleton signed Juliette to a US Label where Juliette would later record her debut album “Keys of Love”, with NuVybe Records.   Juliette’s album has been released on NuVybe Records and is available on all digital distributors.

Juliette will soon be debuting in the United States.  We hope that her sound and vibe is received well.   She is full of Soul, Love and Energy. 

EVOLUTION

With evolution, you have to change, enhance, grow, and start anew.  Juliette has updated us with the formation of her own Independent Record Label: Daisy Records.  Daisy Records will be releasing a few new singles in 2013.  We would like to first congratulate her of her continued support of Soul and R&B music and all the blessed vibes that she has brought to the musical airways.  We look forward to seeing where her new venture goes and being and supporting her when she comes to tour in the United States.  Please take the time to listen to some of her vibes and enhance your airways.

Introducing Contemporary R&B Indie Artist  

           STORM

          

Storm

is originally from Brooklyn, NY.  The youngest of a large family of musicians, she knew what she wanted to do, but didn’t begin singing until the age of 14, when she participated in her first competition in her home town of Bayamon, P.R., where her mother and she moved to in 1989.  She started taking classical training with the Puerto Rican soprano Darizabel Izales, and later on began studying music in the University of Puerto Rico, where she continued her training with Jose Ramon Torres.  But in between that period of time, from her arrival to Puerto Rico and her last year of high school, she had won seven out of eight singing competitions throughout the island.

In college she began acting in small roles and started taking small parts, mainly as an extra in the local musical productions, trying to focus her mind mostly on her studies.  But her true calling came in a college competition in 1996, where she won first place and caught the eye of musician Ramon “Junior” Irizarry.  Junior Irizarry is a renowned musician, who worked with many artists such as Latin stars Marc Anthony, Gilberto Santa Rosa, La India, as well as Billy Joel, George Benson and many more.  He had a small group at the time that did fundraisers and private conventions in various hotels, and he needed a female vocalist.  Here Storm obtained the experience that would help her decide, once and for all, the road she wanted to travel. 

Storm continued singing in these venues until she finally decided on moving back to her birthplace, New York City, to follow her dreams.  As soon as she arrived she was given the opportunity to participate in a musical production of the Ujama Black Theater titled “The Harlem Renaissance”.  Here she made her debut as an actress, playing the seductress “Mrs. Walker”.  The musical was an experience for her and gave her the knowledge she needed to pursue not only a career in music, but also in acting. 

Not too long after that Storm met who would now be her writing partner, composer/producer Luis Burgos of the successful group Candela Soul.  Together they worked on the collective production “Maria Dolores”, working with various artists including Reggaeton sensation Chyno Nino and Latin MC, Enemigo. 

Storm started venturing in other genres of music, working with Rock-Funk band Digg Deep, as well as with the well known Hip Hop/spoken word artists, The Welfare Poets.  Coincidentally, working with these last two groups would bring her to cross paths with Alkebulan.

Storm just completed a six-month residency at East Harlem’s Camarades El Barrio. She’s dedicated to bringing back the classic vibes of R&B grooves but incorporating a more modern feel to it, developing a sound all her own. For more info, please visit Storm’s page on
